The Indian stock market timing are divided into three segments:

Pre-opening Timing (9.00 a.m. – 9.15 a.m.)

During this Session, Equity market orders placement window is open upto 9.07 and the price determination for securities takes place randomly in between 9.07 to 9.08.   Orders can be placed, modified, or canceled during this period.  Any orders which are outstanding during this session are carried forwarded for trade to the Normal session. 

Normal Session (9.15 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.)

The Normal Trading session will open at 9:15am and will close at 3:30pm for equity / F&O market.

Post-closing Session (3.40 p.m. to 4:00pm)

The post-closing session, lasting from 3:40 PM to 4:00 PM, is dedicated to market orders in the equity segment. Specifically, clients can place buy or sell orders using the CNC product code at the market price. However the trade will take place only at the closing price of the scrip.
