Why is MIS not allowed for certain instruments?

Intraday (MIS/CO) orders are allowed only for some stocks (primarily stock enabled for F&O) due to regulatory or risk management reasons. These types of orders provide leverage, allowing traders to trade more quantities than in CNC. However, stockbrokers may restrict intraday orders for certain stocks to mitigate potential risks.
