I use the API from my laptop at home. Do I still need a static IP?
Yes. Home broadband connections use a dynamic IP that changes frequently. As per the NSE circular, clients must mandatorily provide a static IP address to gain API access. A dynamic IP does not meet this requirement. You will need to either upgrade to a static IP plan with your ISP or run your algo on a cloud server or VPS that provides a fixed IP.
