What does 'Equity' and 'COM' mean in the Margin Pledge section of the back office?

In the Margin Pledge section, selecting ‘Equity’ applies to stocks pledged for all segments of NSE and BSE. ‘COM’ stands for Commodity and is applicable only for MCX. Pledging under the correct segment ensures the margin is usable for the intended market only.
