What is a mutual fund mandate and what is its purpose?

A mutual fund mandate is a one-time authorization that allows automatic deduction of SIP payments from your registered bank account. It eliminates the need for manual payments each month, ensuring that your SIPs continue without interruption.

Once a mandate is approved, it can be used for all future SIPs, regardless of the individual SIP amount. At Tradejini, when a client sets up a mandate, it is created for an upper limit of INR 4 lakhs. This higher limit ensures that the same mandate can support multiple SIPs without requiring repeated authorizations, making the process more convenient.

The purpose of the mandate is to streamline the payment process and offer a hassle-free investment experience, allowing SIP amounts to be automatically debited on the scheduled dates.
